Well, here we are again, this time with the July/August edition of Creuse News, a double issue as’ the Creuse News team’ is having a short break in August, so the next issue will be in September, please don’t miss us too much.
I hope you have a wonderful summer with all that you wish for. I’ve met several English couples recently wishing to see their families more, in particular their grandchildren, and are returning to England. I can understand this sentiment and consider myself so lucky to have at least one of my grandchildren here in the Creuse, just a short drive away and the other I can see via Skype and a webcam every week. In fact there’s an article in Creuse News this month explaining all the vagaries of this magical thing called Skype. Also inside more news of some innovative ideas – selling old English roses, karate, jewellery, a luxury hotel, tea rooms, to name but a few.
October will see the first anniversary of the ‘birth’ of Creuse News and we would like to have some sort of party to celebrate, to thank people and also to put faces to the many names and e-mails. If you would be interested in coming along to this get-together, please contact us, so that we have some idea of numbers. I’ll be able to give you more details in our September issue, but in the meantime please get in touch if you would like to come to the ‘do’.
I keep forgetting to thank our printers, Espace Copie Plan, in Guéret who do such a good job in a calm, professional manner, even if I’m feeling a little stressed and on the last minute (it’s the nature of the job I suppose) they are always cool, calm and collected and produce the goods on time, many thanks to them.
Bonnes vacances.
